Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a synthetic fragment of the SNAP-25 protein, involved in neurotransmitter release. By competing with this protein, it slows the muscle contraction responsible for dynamic wrinkles: this mechanism is why it’s called “Btx-like.” The BCN solution is aqueous, fragrance-free and colorant-free, designed for optimal penetration with assisted techniques.

Instructions for use

1. Thoroughly cleanse and degrease the skin.
2. Break the ampoule using the ampoule opener and draw up the 2 ml.
3. Apply the solution using the chosen technique: needle-free mesotherapy (electroporation), microneedling (dermapen or roller), radiofrequency, or ultrasound.
4. Massage until fully absorbed; do not rinse.
5. Suggested regimen: one session per week for 4 to 6 weeks, then one maintenance session every 3 to 4 weeks.

The ampoule can be combined with another BCN cocktail in the same session for a personalized treatment (hydration, firmness, radiance).

Observed results

Argireline® is one of the most studied cosmetic peptides. In a randomized placebo-controlled trial on 60 subjects (American Journal of Clinical Dermatology, 2013), twice-daily application for 4 weeks resulted in an overall anti-wrinkle efficacy of 48.9% in the Argireline group versus 0% in the placebo group, with a significant reduction in skin roughness measured on silicone replicas (p < 0.01). A literature review published in 2025 in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (10 studies, 312 participants) confirms a decrease in wrinkle visibility in all studies, with no significant adverse effects reported. Good to know

BCN Argireline is a solution for external use, toxin-free and does not require needles. It does not replace a botulinum toxin injection when complete muscle blockade is desired, but is a gentle alternative or maintenance option. Avoid use in case of known allergy to any component, or on damaged or irritated skin.

What is the difference between BCN Argireline and a botulinum toxin injection?

Botulinum toxin blocks muscle contraction deeply, by injection. Argireline® acts on the surface, progressively and reversibly, to relax expression lines without freezing facial features. Many use it as a gentle alternative, for prevention, or to prolong the effect between injection sessions.

How long does it take to see results?

Studies show measurable improvement after 4 weeks of regular application. In practice, a smoothing effect is often felt from the first sessions and increases over the course of the regimen.

How many sessions per box?

Each 2 ml ampoule corresponds to one session: one box covers a full regimen of 4 to 6 sessions plus several maintenance sessions, or around ten sessions for multiple clients.

BCN Argireline or MCCM Btx Argireline: which to choose?

Both are based on Acetyl Hexapeptide-8. BCN offers 10 x 2 ml ampoules, convenient for testing the peptide or complementing an existing BCN range; MCCM Btx Argireline offers 20, suitable for higher volume needs.
